Beach Fest Cronulla & Rock 'n' Vintage Roll Festival

I haven't posted for a while but never fear, university has finished for the year and I have some exciting ideas to share with you!

First I need to post about the fun rock-and-roll-packed weekend I had in early November. Despite having a big psychology report due on Sunday, I felt I couldn't miss out on either of these events. The Beach Fest at Cronulla is a two day festival of (primarily) surf culture with retro cars, live music (rock and rockabilly), some stalls (mostly food and art) and a retro swimwear parade. I only went for a short time on Saturday so I missed out on the fireworks but I did check out the cars and a tiny part of The Bonnevillain's set.

Next day - Rock n Vintage Roll Festival at Ryan's Hotel, Thirroul. This event is much more centered around everything 1950's with quite a few retro cars, a decent number of stalls, a best-dressed parade and live music from No Brakes. The food was excellent (generous servings!) and we got to have a few dances to the band. We didn't get many photos but you can find a short video taken at the festival here.

This was the second time we've attended the event and we would definitely go again if more are held next year!
